If you are looking to be part of an authentic community where you can serve and be served, then Chi Alpha is the place for you! We are looking for students who want to jump in with both feet in any way they can. So, if you are handy with a camera, or you love meeting new people, or you just plain old want to do SOMETHING, then we will gladly put you to work! Don't worry, we won’t overload you. We know you have homework.

Here are just a few suggestions for ways you can jump in and help:

- video announcements & media people
- hospitality
- service projects (Jesus Burgers)

Let us know if you would like to serve in any of these capacities—however, if you would like to create your own service opportunity, come talk to us and we will see what we can do to help and encourage you to use your creativity and passion for Jesus and in Chi Alpha!

When Jesus lived on this earth he showed us that leading means serving! He served us all by giving up the glory of heaven and “made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross.” (Phillippians 2:7-8).

In Chi Alpha, when we look for leaders we look for students who want to serve and are what we like to call FAT=Faithful, Available, & Teachable. We look for students who are passionate about their relationship with Jesus and want to make Him known. If you would like to be a Servant Leader with Chi Alpha, here’s the path that will get you there:

- Foundations Class in fall
- active in a Life Group & in Chi Alpha for 1 year
- attend Leaders' Retreat the first weekend in April
- discipleship class in spring
- fill out application
- reference from Life Group Leader
- complete leadership interview

Officers plan, participate in and help facilitate XA CAFE as well as activities and events for Chi Alpha.

Life group leaders conduct the various small group Bible studies on campus once a week. They
help build the community of Chi Alpha through discipleship and relationship with a lot of shenanigans in between!

I-team leaders are people with special interests who use those interests to build relationships
and impact people for Jesus. Activities based on those interests are planned and organized by
the I-team leader as often as they choose (i.e hiking, cooking, photography, adventure, etc).
